Achillea millefolium 'New Vintage™ Violet'

Achillea millefolium 'New Vintage™ Violet'

$8.00

I haven’t grown achillea in nearly 40 years.. Why you ask? The flowers were mostly white or yellow, turning brown quickly and they would get leggy and floppy… Well… the New Vintage series is reported to change all that. ‘Violet’ has quite a bold magenta (I would not call it violet, but I have not seen it bloom yet.) color. It is compact, long-blooming and its flowers do not fade to brown like other varieties. It also holds its shape and REBLOOMS very well for an Achillea. Wooo Hooo!! Add deer resistance and drought tolerance to that and ding ding ding … we have a winner!

  •  · Vivid violet flowers (I’ll keep you posted)

  •  · Great for fresh or dried cut flowers

  •  · Perfect for hot and sunny locations

  • 26-28” tall x 10-12” spread Note: for an achillea your best bet would be to plant these in groups of 3 to make an impact. A single plant might just look weedy unless you are working in a very small space. IMHO
