This charming coreopsis is named after the actress, Charlize Theron (I don’t actually get that connection). But, this introduction is from Darryl Probst, the breeder of the Big Bang series , so it’s got to be good (and I’ve grown it and love it so YES) It offers lots of flower power in the garden. 'Charlize' has showy, double flowers that are more of a clear yellow not the typical golden tones of most broad-leaved coreopsis. She is also supposed to be mildew resistant. (Full Moon is one of my favorites from that same series and it does struggle with mildew in the early fall… Char is more resistant). Literature says 18-24 inches tall - not in my garden, here she is a bit more petite, maybe 15 or so and I have her in a second tier edging.
