The cap can be screwed onto the end opposite the nib for convenience. No clip has been incorporated into the cap in order to make it easier to store the pen in an executive portfolio, writing portfolio, agenda or dossier. An ink "pump" mechanism is included for use with and ink well. For those who are "on the go" it is possible to replace the pump mechanism with standard ink cartridges available from most office supply stores.
