Handcrafted from woods that are local to New Jersey, which hold a stainless steel butter knife blade also useful for spreading soft cheese or peanut butter and jelly. Note that the blade on this knife is not sharp and its shape is adapted for spreading.
I hand wash my butter knife and, from time to time rub some mineral oil (inexpensively available from your local pharmacy or drugstore) on the wood to keep it looking new.
