Spurge is a terrible name for this beautiful plant. If you are looking for a deer-proof, drought tolerant plant with all season color, this is it!   Foliage first emerges green but quickly turns maroon-red with blazing reddish-orange tips.  The early summer flowers are a bright chartreuse-gold that contrasts nicely with the darker foliage.  Bonfire holds its color well throughout summer and fall, on a compact, well behaved,  bun of a plant.
